Note from Janet Randell, Artistic Director of The Cedar Dance Theatre Company: “This year I am delighted to be working with such an eclectic mix of talented dancers of all ages, experience and background, who have come together to continue to create such an exciting and innovative dance film project, working title Passing Moments. I am endeavouring to draw out the talent and expertise of each individual dancer, and in our most recent rehearsals, each soloist has been pulling together to form a dynamic and powerful group”.

Sara Accettura, from Italy and the UK, is the Dance Co-ordinator for The Cedar Dance Theatre Company. She has trained in both ballet and modern dance, and won several dance international awards before graduating with a First Class Degree and M.A. from The Place, London. Here she gained workshop experience performing works by Merce Cunningham, Richard Alston and Hofesh Shechter. Sara has performed extensively in Italy and the UK, including the National Dance Company of Wales, Diciembre Dance Group and Combination Dance Company. She has worked extensively with Janet Randell on live and digital dances for Randell’s forthcoming Tutorial Guide to DanceForms DVD. She has taught dance for young dancers at The Place, and is artistic director and founder of Junior Dance Company, Italy.

Lucía Piquero Alvarez, from Asturias, Spain and the UK, ballet and modern dancer, has a degree in Psychology from the University of Oviedo, North Spain, as well as an M.A. on choreography at Middlesex University. She has performed both ballet and contemporary dance with a number of companies in Spain and the UK, to great critical acclaim. Lucía is a dancer, choreographer and co-director of Diciembre Dance Group, and a designer and maker of dance costumes.

Joy Constantinides, from the UK, has worked with many dance, opera and theatre companies - including English National Opera, the Royal Opera and Glyndebourne. Most recently she has toured with Maresa von Stockert’s Tilted Productions show Masquerade, worked with Aletta Collins in The Red Balloon, and is touring with DV8 Physical Theatre. She has worked with Janet Randell on live and digital dances for Randell’s forthcoming Tutorial Guide to DanceForms DVD.

Jacob Hughes, from Wales UK, has graduated from Elmhurst School for Dance, in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, and has performed with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, most recently in Romeo and Juliet by Kenneth MacMilan.

Fausto Izzi, from Italy, Argentina and the UK, ballet and modern dancer, has performed at The Opera House Colon Theatre, Buenos Aires, and with San Martin Contemporary Ballet, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Monterrey Ballet, Mexico and Tanskompagnie St Gallen, Switzerland. He has performed recently in workshops with Russell Maliphant in London. Fausto has also studied Stage Management and Technical Theatre in London, with a focus on set and costume design.

Harriet Latham, from the UK, trained at The Place, and has worked with choreographers Hofesh Shechter, Yan de Shynkel and Richard Alston, among others, with the graduating company LC3. Her work has included performing a projection installation solo at the Cochrane Theatre, working on a dance for film made in Poland, and other commercial dance projects. She has worked with Janet Randell on live and digital dances for Randell’s forthcoming Tutorial Guide to DanceForms DVD.

Sarah Miller, from the UK, has trained in contemporary dance, and graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) from the London Contemporary Dance School. She has performance and workshop experience with works by Jane Dudley, Richard Alston, Wayne McGregor, Jiri Kylian, Christopher Bruce, Russell Maliphant, and with the Rambert Dance Company and Adventures in Motion Pictures. Sarah has done extensive work with The Young Place, and is a dedicated teacher of creative dance sessions. She has worked with Janet Randell on live and digital dances for Randell’s forthcoming Tutorial Guide to DanceForms DVD.

Andrea Santato is from Padova, Italy and attended the London Contemporary Dance School. After graduation he joined Michael Clark Company for the Stravinsky Project. Andrea also worked with Swansea Ballet Russe (dancing roles such as the prince in The Nutcracker and Soloist parts in Coppelia and Swan Lake), Cork City Ballet, Ballet Theatre UK as principal dancer (Cinderella, The Nutcracker), Combination Dance, Diciembre Dance Group and with the artist Martin Creed performing Work No: 1020. Andrea has also worked with Chrysalis Dance for the Ways you Wonder production in 2009, 3 Piece Suite in 2010, and performed at the Dance Festival in Dublin in May 2011 with Connect4. He has performed in Four Seasons of Peace at the World Peace Day, Dublin in September 2011. He joined Cedar Dance Theatre in Autumn 2011 for the creation of Passing Moments.
